There are two forms of thiamine often used in vitamin B1 supplements
- thiamine hydrochloride & thiamine mononitrate. They are both synthetic, however thiamine hydrochloride (HCl) is water-soluble, unlike thiamine mononitrate. This makes it harder to manufacture, but much more effective as a supplement as the body can absorb it easier. That's why we only use thiamine hydrochloride in our vitamin B1 supplement.
