I read the instructions & it said to charge for 24 hours before use. I fully charged it, left it on for approx 8 hours. I did turn it off before I wen to bed (I would not leave it on overnight). When I used it in the morning it left brush marks on my carpet where the brushes had worked to lift the pile. I tried the turbo for a few seconds which really kicked in, but I noticed the battery went down a notch very quickly. As it is new, do not know if this always happens. So far really pleased with the results. My other cordless has lost its suction so bought this to replace it. I still have my plug in but love the cordless for a quick hoover. It has really good suction. I love the demo's on Idealworld. I would love the answer why does it say charge for 24 hours, when it is fully charged hours before.
