Launched in 1985 Boss Number One is an aromatic fougere fragrance for men which helped establish Hugo Boss as a fragrance br&. The fragrance was created by Pierre Wargnye, & despite being re-formulated over the years, to remain contemporary, it is still a hugely popular fragrance. The opening notes are Artemisia, Bergamot, Juniper, Lemon, Green Apple, Caraway, Basil & Grapefruit. The middle notes combine sweetness & florals amazingly well with Honey, Lavender, Rose, Jasmine, Sage, Geranium, Lily-of-the-Valley & Orris Root. In the base of the fragrance are notes of Tobacco, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, Cinnamon & Cedar. Regarded as an iconic masculine fragrance this is a power house of a scent that gives off vibes of power, confidence & some one who is self assured. The fragrance is a strong, fresh one with a burst of citrus notes in the opening, with honey & rose shining in the heart of the scent, before a smooth woody dry down. From start to end it exudes class, sophistication & power. As a fragrance it's wonderfully balanced & smooth. Given it's power it's better suited to the colder months, particularly in Autumn & Winter, but can be worn year round.
