Throughout 2010, as the Formula One World Championship marked its 60th anniversary, our production teamattended a series of races featuring classic Grand Prix cars in action. Using High Definition cameras, they captured footage of the great F1 cars – ones driven by the likes of Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, James Hunt and other legends – racing on famous tracks like Monza, Silverstone and the streets of Monte-Carlo. The HD footage has been skilfully edited with archive film of many of these cars in action in their heyday, plus there are interviews and informed commentary explaining the importance of each machine and the dedication needed to keep them in top condition. The races were organised
by the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association and the FIA Historic Formula One Championship and featured race and championship-winning F1cars, most as they looked in their prime These were not parade laps, but full-speed, wheel-to wheel races, bringing back to life the noise, colour and competition which made racing cars from Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren, Williams and more such legends. Europe region 2 and multi region DVD players only. Running time 85 mins.
