The map covers map the north-eastern area of Croydon from Sundridge Road eastward to Ham Farm, & from Ferndale Road southward to Bingham Road. In the north-western quarter are Woodside & part of South Norwood, including Portland Road, St Luke`s church, Woodside Green & Woodside & South Norwood station; in the south-west is part of Addiscombe, including Lower Adddiscombe Road, & Woodside Court. To the east is a rural area, with Beckenham Golf Course in the centre. To the south-east are Shirley Schools, founded in the 1880s as a holiday home for the poor (and demolished in 1970 to make way for Shirley Oaks Village). There is a good selection of street directory entries on the reverse.
