Kefalonia at 1:65, 000 with Ithaca at 1:25, 000 on a contoured, GPS compatible double-sided map from Anavasi, with recommended hiking trails on both islands & printed on light, waterproof & tear-resistant plastic paper. On one side are both islands at 1:65, 000, with an enlargement of Ithaca at 1:25, 000 shown on the reverse. Topography is excellently presented by contours at 20m intervals, enhanced by relief shading & altitude colouring. Road network indicates dirt roads in poor condition, plus shows locations of petrol stations & driving distances. Several hiking trails are highlighted, with seven recommended routes on Kefalonia & 17 on Ithaca. Symbols mark various places of interest. The maps have a UTM grid for GPS use plus latitude/longitude crosshairs at 1’. All place names are in both Greek & Latin alphabet, as are the indexes for each isl&. Map legends include English. This new edition (August 2014) reconsiders the 3rd edition of the Geological Map of the Word, published initially in 2010 at the scales of 1:25 000 000 (3 sheets) & 1:50 000 000 (1 sheet Geology, structure), both presently out of print. The layout of this new version, centered on the Atlantic, was redesigned in order to fit a single sheet, while the legibility was enhanced in relation to the reduced version at 1:50 000 000. ...

One of the maps in the topographic survey of Iceland at 1:100, 000. The series was last revised in the early eighties. Contour interval is 20 meters. In addition to the usual features shown on survey mapping, the maps also include a large amount of information indicating the type of the terrain & land use (block or smooth surfaced lava, clay, boulders, sand & dunes, cultivated area, meadows, pastures, bogs, wetlands, etc.) & details not often found on maps: physicians' residences, parsonages, etc. Each map covers an area of 44 x 40 km / 27 x 25 miles.
