Clear, indexed, laminated and waterproof street plan of Washington DC, combining a plan of the central part of the city with an enlargement for the Mall area, a map of the capital’s environs, and a list of 30 top sights. The main plan at 1:15, 000 covers the city from the Arlington Cemetery to the RFK Stadium, and from Columbia Heights district to just south of the Pentagon. On the reverse an enlargement at 1:13, 000 shows the city centre either side of the Constitution Avenue, from the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress to the Potomac, and from the K Street to the Southwest Freeway and the Jefferson Memorial. Both plans highlight numerous places of interest, including monuments and government buildings, selected hotels, etc. Metro stations are prominently marked and
one way streets indicated. The map also includes a plan of central Alexandria with its Old Town (1:25, 000) and a road map of the environs at 1:200, 000 covering the area within the 495 ring road plus a little bit further westward to include Fairfax. All three plans and the road map are indexed, with lists of streets/localities plus main buildings, places of interest, etc.Also included are a diagram of the public transport network, an explanation of the city’s street numbering system, a list of 30 top sights, an administrative map of the whole of USA with time zones, and information on climate, etc.
