This lavender is grown organically in Provence in France. It is a “population” lavender which is grown from seeds. It is a fine lavender that grows at higher altitudes. The lowest field that this product grows in is about 800m & the highest is over 1300m. The high altitude lavender apart from its wonderful fine fragrance has a higher ester content making it an excellent therapeutic oil. To help unwind after a busy day try blending 5 drops of Lavender with 10ml of Peach Kernel oil add to a bowl of warm water & soak the feet for 15 minutes. It is generally easy to produce & its yield is quite good. However organic availability of this oil is fairly low as only a few countries produce Lemongrass organically. Acknowledged as the best quality Peppermint available English Peppermint is at the luxury end of the market. The normal American mentha piperita tends to go into products such as toothpaste & confectionery. English peppermint (also known as Mitcham Peppermint) is used for after-dinner mints & mint liqueurs. It is a much smoother fuller & more rounded oil than the standard product. It has an unusually high content of methylesters (giving excellent body & sweetness) & a modest content of the bitter tasting ketone Organic Peppermint is susceptible to “rust” making it very hard to produce. Menthone Peppermint as used in after-dinner mints is popular after a bout of over-indulgence. Blend 1 drop of Peppermint with 5ml of Sweet Almond oil for a comforting tummy rub (massage in a clockwise direction!). Try adding 4 drops to a bowl of warm water for a wonderfully refreshing footbath.
