Not everyone knows this. In South America they add a smidge of dark chocolate to their chilli sauce for added naughtiness. An interesting fact but unfortunately not the done thing in Italy! This traditional pasta sauce gets it's name from the heat of the chilli...arrabiata means it's "angry". You can kind of see what they were getting at. Anyway, our Arrabiata isn't a blow your head off hot but it's still got a bit of a kick to it. Hopefully rather than being angry like the sauce it will leave you with a big smile on your face! ...

Incredible. Squashed tomatoes have more healthy goodness in them than tomatoes just off the stalk... & when they get cooked all that goodness just gets better & better. Apart from our tomatoes being picked when they are at their ripest following a long summer of sunbathing under the Italian sun, what makes our tomatoes different from all the others? Ours are just squashed tomato & THAT IS IT. ...

What makes our extra-virgin olive oil so special? Well, this extra-virgin olive oil is a superior category olive oil. The olives are grown in Puglia in Southern Italy
- we use two different varieties Coratina & Olgliarola Barese. They are hand picked at just the right ripeness & cold pressed with 24 hours of harvesting. All this gives our extra-virgin olive oil a balanced flavour that makes it suitable for cooking as well as in dressings. Go crazy, have fun & use liberally!

Bean are little troopers. Did you know you can make bean cakes? Even bean fudge? A bean is about as versatile & nutritious as veg can get. Giant White Beans are no more than butter beans. You can always try & bury them in the garden & see if a giant bean stalk grows but we can't guarantee you'll be successful! ...
