Not everyone knows this. In South America they add a smidge of dark chocolate to their chilli sauce for added naughtiness. An interesting fact but unfortunately not the done thing in Italy! Incredible. Squashed tomatoes have more healthy goodness in them than tomatoes just off the stalk... & when they get cooked all that goodness just gets better & better. Apart from our tomatoes being picked when they are at their ripest following a long summer of sunbathing under the Italian sun, what makes our tomatoes different from all the others?
