Mrs Crimbles Dutch Fruit Loaf
- a unique version of a classic fruit cake, which is our own adaptation of a traditional Dutch recipe called Breakfast Cake. This cake is naturally low in fat, & contains & abundance of fruit, nuts & spices. This cake is best enjoyed with butter or margarine spread on a slice. As the cake has a very low fat & moisture content this makes it suitable for freezing which many of our customers often tell us is fine. Whilst this cake is wheat free it is not gluten free as it is made with rye flour which, whilst very low in gluten when compared to normal wheat flour, is above the levels recommended by the Coeliacs society. As an additional point the fact that these cakes are made without eggs make them perfectly acceptable for those following a Vegan diet.
