Rich & mature with hints of spice & caramel these premium bourbon style beans have been carefully blanched, sweated & reheated in the tropical sunshine, then slowly fermented in wooden boxes over a period of months to develop their extraordinarily complex aroma. Vanilla is a climbing orchid vine whose delicate flowers have to be pollinated painstakingly by hand (using a pin) to produce the green vanilla bean. Our vanilla is carefully hand selected at harvest & cured naturally on the Ndali Volcanic Field on the edge of Uganda's Western Rift Valley.
