Our organic red banana powder is carefully prepared to retain the unique & delicious taste of vine-ripened Ecuadorian bananas. Naturally sweet, it is ideal for dusting on desserts or blending with other nutrient-rich products to create great tasting milkshakes & smoothies. Our flakes & powder are made from vine-ripened red bananas, organically grown in Ecuador. This means they are typically harvested on a weekly basis. The removal of the heavy bunches is a challenging task & is often performed by two people to avoid damaging the fruit. A curved knife is used to make an incision above the bunch, leaving around 15cm of stalk to serve as a carrying handle. It is common for banana ‘hands’ to be wrapped up in plastic bags whilst still on the plant in order to protect against insects & diseases & even sunburn. At no point are these fruit subjected to chemicals or pesticides. ...
