Both the shoulder straps and the hip belt are made with Spacermesh foam, a stable and comfortable EVA with cut-outs to allow air flow. Access to the main compartment is through a traditional top lid which offers enhanced protection and security. The Arcteryx Cierzo is a stripped down and lightweight minimalist pack that can be used on fast and lean alpine ascents, multi-pitch climbs or just as a secondary pack when on longer trips. Made with the usual Arcteryx gorgeousness and a mix of fabrics that balances low weight and durability. The main body is made from N210p, a plain weave nylon fabric with a polyurethane coating to make it highly water resistant. Wear areas such as back panel, base and lid are made from N100r-HT, a high tenacity nylon with a mini ripstop weave that is highly tear resistant and silicone treated for extra weather resistance. The lightweight shoulder straps have EV50 spacermesh to enhance breathability and an adjustable sternum strap. The back panel is very simply padded by a single sheet of EVA foam which can be removed to go uber minimal. A simple bungee compression system on the exterior controls the load and also provides some useful additional storage for a roll mat or a shell. Twin ice axe loops take care of the hardware and the zipped top pocket can be turned inside out to pack the Cierzo away, once youve removed the foam back pad. Super lightweight Highly compressible - stows inside lid pocket Removable foam back pad Bungee compression and storage system Twin ice axe loops
The Airzone Spirit 25 is designed to be a truly versatile pack that will cope with all your outdoor activities and urban adventures. The ventilated back system is the technological heart to this day pack providing maximum ventilation and minimum body contact via the Airzone mesh suspension backpanel that, unlike similar systems, does not intrude on the internal capacity of the pack. The breathable Adaptive fit shoulder harness fits a wide back length range and allows maximum ventilation whilst the load bearing split construction hip belt wraps your body contours evenly distributing weight without restriction. The Airzone Spirit 25 oozes quality, using lightweight yet durable nylon mini ripstop fabric, bound internal seams with larger fabric tolerances for additional strength, and high quality buckles webbing and zips. Access to the main compartment is gained via a full length U zip which creates a large opening to easily get hold of your kit. The 25 litre capacity is perfect for a day out in the hills, overnight travel and commuting. There is even an external bungee system designed to carry a cycle helmet. Additional storage is provided by a large organiser front pocket, a rear zipped security pocket, a front stash pocket, side mesh pockets and a shoulder harness zipped phone pocket. Walking poles can be easily stored on the outside of the pack using Tip Grippers and an elastic bungee system. This sublime and utterly gorgeous pack is made using Arcteryxs amazing AC² (Advanced Composite) technology. AC² uses a lamination and coating process to create extremely strong, lightweight and highly water resistant fabrics. This process allows Arcteryx to create an almost seamless construction and allows direct placement of components, such as straps, eliminating stitching. This amazing fabric is then turned into product using complex 3D patterning, heat sealed seams and micro seam taping resulting in strength, stability, structure and minimal weight. The result is a featherweight, extremely water resistant and massively tough climbing and ascent pack. The main body of the pack is made using a high denier ripstop nylon that is exceptionally durable with a high tenacity tear strength and coated on both sides with urethane to create an air-permeable fabric that is 100% waterproof. The minimal design of the Alpha 30FL does not include a traditional top pocket closure, instead a canoe bag type closure is used to create an internal watertight seal. An internal roll top secondary collar is bonded to the main pack and seals the contents, this is then protected by a tough nylon ripstop external primary collar with a draw cord closure. These collars can both be extended to provide additional storage. A single lightweight webbing strap clips over the top to secure the load and can be extended to carry ropes. Crampons and ice tools are stored using webbing loops and a simple elastic bungee system that also compresses the load and adds additional external storage. There are no internal stays on the Alpha so the load is supported by a laminated HD 80 high density polyethylene foam that also protects your back from protruding contents. The shoulder straps use a laminated construction of burly double weave nylon and soft edged Hypercell foam to distribute the weight without causing hot spots. Finally a small external zipped pocket with a key clip finishes off this simply stunning high performance and technically advanced pack. AC² Advanced Composite technology Weatherproof Roll Top extension collar adds additional carrying capacity Thermoformed shoulder straps with soft edges 6 integrated front lash points for crampons etc. Twin ice tools attachment system Elasticated compression system External zipped pocket with key clip
Aquapac have been making waterproof things to carry stuff for years and they have perfected the seam welding construction used on their products. The Toccoa uses a very durable 500D vinyl fabric that can cope with daily wear and tear and trail abuse. This fabric features fully welded seams to make the fabric waterproof and a roll-down closure to make this versatile pack practically waterproof. The Toccoa is tested to the IPX6 standard which states that it is Protected against heavy seas/temporary flooding - Water projected at all angles through a 12.5mm nozzle at a flow rate of 100 litres per minute at a pressure of 100kN/m2 for 3 minutes from a distance of 3 metres. So it should be able to cope with a bit of rain then! The straps used to fasten the roll-down closure also act as side compression straps to secure the contents. Breathable mesh padding is used on the back panel and shoulder straps to ensure a comfortable carry and there is a top grab handle...for grabbing! Twin mesh side pockets complete the features of this simple yet highly functional pack. Tough 500D vinyl fabric Welded seam construction Roll-down closure Compression straps Mesh side pockets Breathable mesh back and shoulder straps Lash point for lights Daisy chain webbing Grab handle

The first thing you notice when you sling on the Chilcotin is just how good it feels on your back. This is due to the superb design of the Wingman hip pockets that wrap around your hips providing control and stability. These pockets are not just an afterthought, sewn onto the hipbelt, they are an integral part of the back system and cling, limpet like, to your hips. When youve got the Chilcotin on the angled zips on the Wingman pockets make getting at the contents super easy, in fact Id go as far as to say that they are the best designed side/hip pockets around. The fabric used to construct this robust pack is a ripstop nylon with a silicone coating to improve weather resistance. All contact areas are faced with Aeroform monofilament mesh that is air permeable, non-absorbent, durable, flexible and non-compressible, so perfectly suited to sweaty aerobic activities. Arcteryx have used a yoke design for the shoulder harness that allows the pack to sit low on your back fully utilising those Wingman pockets. The Chilcotin is essentially a soft pack that uses a Polyethylene frame sheet to provide protection and stability and a neat horizontal top bar to provide torsional stability, particularly when fully loaded. Four side compression straps keep the load under control and can be extended if you have packed extra stuff. Access to the main compartment is via a long U zip so you can get your stuff in and out easily, and there are two zipped external pockets, one with a key clip. The main compartment houses the 2.0 litre custom Source bladder (one of our favourites) that features a detachable hose for easy re-filling, a lockable bite valve with sternum strap keeper and a glass like lining for clean tasty water. 2.0 litre Source hydration bladder Nylon ripstop fabric Mesh back panel Wingman hip pockets 2 x external zipped pockets
