Gregory packs carry heavy loads superbly, we have yet to find a pack that is more comfortable. The key to their success is how the suspension harness transfers the weight onto the hips maintaining a stable load bearing platform. The gender specific hip belt floats and rotates, automatically adjusting to the movements of your hips as you move. This keeps your centre of gravity aligned with your direction of movement and maximises the load transfer to the hips, not the shoulders. The shoulder straps and hip belt are made from non-compressing 3D LifeSpan EVA providing maximum comfort for the life of the pack. Faced with an ultra-soft fabric they will not wrinkle up or cause hot spots even when wearing lightweight clothing. The Thermo Moulded EVA back panel features Gription technology on the lumbar pad which keeps the pack in place and optimises load transfer. Access to the main compartment is through the top lid or through the long U zip on the front of the pack which makes getting to your kit as easy as getting into a duffel. The top lid can be completely removed and transformed into a waist pack, a brilliant feature when travelling. Festooned with pockets so you won’t be short of places to stash your kit. The large front pocket is the perfect place to stash soggy waterproofs or tent fabric and it can be fully compressed. The brilliant hideaway water bottle pockets do just that, they hideaway when not required, and then pop out to swallow a large water bottle. The key to the Altras carrying comfort is the C2 back system, a low profile suspension sheet keeps the centre of gravity close to your back and transfers the weight efficiently onto the hips. Its simple, uncluttered and highly efficient. Combine this with the fully adjustable Gridlock shoulder straps and the Load Transfer Disc hip belt and you have the ultimate carrying system. Gridlock allows you to completely remove and independently adjust the straps horizontally and vertically to get a completely customised fit. Load Transfer Disc lets the padded hip belt pivot as you walk allowing unrestricted movement and ultra efficient load transfer. The hip belt can also be completely removed for travel security and cleaning. The Altra has a pear shape design which helps to keep the pack load low and close to your back minimising load movement and backward pull for ultra efficient carrying. A high density polyethylene foam back panel provides comfort and support, aided by twin aluminium M stays for structural integrity. Shoulder straps use Hypercell foam, an open structure polyurethane foam that provides structure and comfort. All the fabrics on the Altra are rip stop nylon with higher density weaves on abrasion areas. All the fabric is silicone coated to repel water and dirt and then backed with PU for additional protection and strength. One of the best features of the Altra is the Wingman hip pockets, angled perfectly to allow easy access whilst carrying the pack they will accommodate 1 litre water bottles and anything else you need instant access to. An external kangaroo pocket, basically a large bellow front pocket with zipped access and a top compression strap, will swallow extra kit and then compress down when not required. Access to the main compartment can be either through the top lid or via the ingenious U Zip. It acts as quick access on either side, or by unclipping the bottom flap; you can completely unzip the whole bag to get massive access to all your kit. Poles can be attached using the compression straps and ice axes are easily stored and removed using the Pax one handed axe attachment system. Basically you can remove an ice axe without taking off the pack by simply reaching round and drawing the axe downwards to release it.

Lowe Alpine have developed their ND packs specifically to fit women. All aspects of the carrying system have been engineered for maximum comfort and fit. This brand new Cerro Torre pack will provide stable and comfortable load carrying for extended treks and expeditions and is built to withstand the kind of abuse and hardship those adventures can inflict on your gear. The key element of this pack is the new and exclusive Axiom+ back system. Lowe Alpine have designed the system to be easily adjusted, even when wearing the pack, extremely comfortable, supportive, breathable and with a low profile. Adjusting the back length to achieve a custom fit couldnt be simpler; with the pack on pull the black cord to unlock the system, then pull the grey cord to adjust the shoulder straps, release the black cord then release the grey cord. Axiom+ also features a rotating hip belt that moves with your body as you walk yet still offers maximum stability and support. Being able to so easily adjust the pack means that you can vary the load between shoulders and hips depending on the terrain. The moulded back panel features air channels to help with ventilation and a sprung steel frame stabilises the load and distributes the weight evenly. Access to the main compartment is via the top lid which features an internal security pocket, but you can also get to your kit via an external front zip or through the base compartment. The base compartment has a divider that can be removed to create a larger internal space. You wont be short of places to stash your gear as the Cerro Torre is festooned with pockets, a large front pocket, two hip belt pockets and two stretch side pockets. Trekking poles are secured using the versatile tip gripper and pole loops and ice axes can be attached using the stowable loops. External compression straps help to stabilise the load and can be used for additional storage along with the accessory straps and strong lash points. A neat feature for extra versatility is a removable and lightweight hydration pack that has enough storage for spare clothing and essential items making it perfect for day trips and excursions when you wouldnt want to carry everything with you. Axiom+ back system featuring rotating hip belt Integrated raincover Main compartment with removable divider Front zipped access Hydration system compatible Tip gripper and pole loops Secure internal lid zip pocket Stowable ice axe loops Removable hydration pack for day trips Stretch water bottle pockets Hipbelt pockets Front pocket Strong lash points Accessory straps Load lifting handle SOS Panel

When using trekking poles the Stow-On-The-Go storage system is brilliant, when the poles are not required, collapse them and tuck them away without having to remove the pack. The internal divider can be used to split the load whilst still allowing longer items such as tent poles to fit. This top loading pack comes in two sizes with a full adjustable harness for a true custom fit. The Airspace back panel provides secure carrying yet breathable comfort. The Kyte is stacked with all the usual Osprey features and is a truly versatile pack suitable for all activities and it is particularly suitable for Duke of Edinburgh, Scouting and world travel. The defining feature of the Aether 70 is the carrying harness. A lightwire peripheral frame effectively transfers loads to the Isoform4 CM hip belt whilst a single aluminium centre stay maintains the Airscape backpanel shape to enhance airflow and breathability. Isoform shoulder harness and Isoform4 CM hipbelt balance cushioning with support to provide an extremely comfortable yet stable carry. The Isoform hip belt can be removed and warn for 10 minutes allowing it to mould to your body. Further fit customisation is achieved by offering two sizes, each with further back length adjustment on the shoulder harness. So it is easy to get the perfect fit Osprey certainly know how to maximise storage options on their packs and the Aether is no exception, there are no fewer that 7 external pockets on this pack to make sure that whatever you bring along finds a home. The lid can be completely removed and features a webbing belt to turn it into a waist pack, a really handy feature when travelling. Access to the main compartment can be through the top or via the J zip which runs around the front of the pack, in a J shape, allowing quick and easy access to the contents. The main compartment can also be split to divide the load or keep wet dirty kit separate; the lower compartment can then be accessed through the wide mouth lower opening. Fully hydration compatible with a clever external bladder sleeve to make re-filling quick and easy so no more rooting around inside the pack to drag out your hydration bladder. Trekking poles are easily stowed without having to remove the pack thanks to the Stow-On-The-Go system, for me this brilliant system really sets Osprey packs apart from the competition. If the Aether 70 is just not big enough, or you need more versatile carrying options, you can attach a Daylite 13 pack to the front of the Aether using the Add-On loops. The Metanoia is named after an un-repeated route first climbed by the founder of Lowe Alpine, Jeff Lowe. In 1991, after 9 days alone and unsupported on the North face of the Eiger, he completed a visionary new route, which he called Metanoia. This brilliant pack celebrates Jeffs bold and uncompromising style of climbing with its clean and uncluttered design and lightweight, strong and technical construction and is perfect for expedition climbing or extended winter mountaineering trips. To achieve the nirvana of lightweight and strength Lowe have developed a highly tear resistant TriShield fabric which is 54% stronger than traditional PU coated fabrics but a lot lighter. This makes up the main body of the sack with heavier duty material covering the main wear areas. The single large compartment is accessed through a traditional lid opening which has a large extending valance to increase the carrying capacity and a webbing top strap to either compress the load or attach ropes and crampons. The whole top lid can be removed to create a stripped down Metanoia for fast final ascents or if you just need to keep the weight to a minimum. Load carrying is taken care of by the Adaptive fit shoulder harness and padded hip belt; Adaptive fit allows for a wide range of body sizes from a fixed harness. The back panel is covered with a water and snow shedding material over moulded padding with ventilation channels and is designed to sit close to your back for security and stability on technical climbs and long approaches. The back system is supported by an internal wire frame which can be removed to reduce weight and there is a removable foam pad for use as a bivvy/seat pad. The padded hip belt distributes the loads for long approaches and can be stripped down to a simple webbing belt to not interfere with your climbing harness; the padded section tucks away into a sleeve on the side of the pack. Your essential winter tools can be carried on the Metanoia using Lowes brilliant HeadLocker and WebCatcher systems that quickly and securely attaches ice axes, skis. walking poles and probes etc. Gear loops on either side of the pack take care of climbing gear and twin tape daisy chains down the front provide additional attachment points or storage. Zipped pockets on the lid take care of any bits and bobs that you need quick access to. Double HeadLocker ice axe attachment system WebCatcher ski and pole attachment system Three point haulage system Mitt friendly winter buckles Adaptive fit carrying harness Padded hip belt with strip down feature Removable frame and lid Extendable lid Side compression system Under lid rope and crampon carrier Comfortable snow shedding back panel

The Ariel 65 form Osprey comes in 2 womens specific sizes. Ospey have optamised the fit of the super breathable backsystem, IsoForm hipbelt and shoulder harness to suit the average female body shape. So narrower shoulder width and hip belt positioning, the IsoFrom hipbelt allows us to fully customise the shape of your hipbelt instore. We would do this buy heating up the hipbelt in a little Osprey oven and get you to wear it until it is cooled, simple but effective. These systems all work together to distribute the weight of a heavy pack onto the load bearing skeletal structure of your body putting less strain on your muscular structure for a more comfortable experience and fit. This pack is ideal for multi-day adventures or backpacking your way around the world. There is plenty of space and pockets for you to organise and store your gear; you can even remove the lid and use it as a lumbar pack (a.k.a. a bumbag). The front of the pack has 4 reinforced cord loops for you to attach an Osprey Daylite pack or crampon pocket, front opening for easy access and a stretch pocket for the stowing of jackets and maps. If you dont fill your pack make sure to use the straight jacket compression strap to secure the internal load as noone like as rattly pack and it will stop the contents from shifting and throwing you off balance. There is a built in rain cover that will keep out a good down pour but we would always recommend to out customers that the use of colour coded dry bags is the way forward; not only for peace of mind but also for compartmentalisation and organisation, which is key when on long adventures or when you need to get to your first aid kit or ID documents in a hurry. There is easy access to water bottles in the stretchy side pockets without having to remove your pack and you and quickly store youre walking poles on the move, and the external enter for your hydration system so itss all just that little less fiddly. Osprey have also thrown in walking/ice axe loops and bottom entry for your sleeping system and removable sleeping mat straps. In short this is a stupidly versatile bag you can take almost anywhere.
