Black Diamond Speed 40 Sulfur

The Black Diamond Speed 40 is a superb all round mountain pack; it is capable of carrying in heavy loads and then can be stripped down for climbing use. The clever reACTIV carrying harness cleverly moves with your body to provide comfort and support whilst allowing you full freedom of movement.  The fully padded and removable hip belt flexes to allow your hips and shoulders to move independently, which is brilliant for scrambling and climbing with a heavy pack. The shoulder straps are linked by a wire across the bottom of the pack so that they can move up and down as your shoulders flex whilst walking and climbing. This clever reACTIV harness eliminates friction and hot spots, prevents sores and bruising and allows an unrestricted gait for maximum efficiency and reduced stress on your
joints and muscles. The main body of the pack is made from the suitably tough named Nailhead 210D Nylon with a heavier 420D Nylon reinforced base and crampon patch. Twin side compression straps keep loads controlled and there is a rope retention strap under the top lid. Talking of top lids, this one is completely removable and features two zipped pockets for extra storage. In fact you can strip this brilliant pack right down by removing the top lid, removing the main webbing straps, and removing the hip belt. The main contact back area is lightly padded and features an internal wire frame and TPU sheet for stability. Designed mainly for winter and temperate climates the Speed 40 features PickPocket ice tool holders and ladder-lock crampon attachment. However due to its light weight and
