These boots are exclusive to Trekitt in the UK & were developed from the original AKU Navy Seal to provide a stable & supportive multi-purpose 6 ankle boot with the same unparalleled breathability & quick drying properties. The Pilgrim range of boots have been used throughout the world by special forces & emergency services for effective rapid intervention work & specialist operations. This new Mark 2 version features a new Vibram Brown sole unit to improve the boots MTP compatibility with the advantage of enhanced grip & shock absorption. This is achieved by using a carbon rubber sole compound that flexes & moulds to the terrain yet remains hard wearing & durable. This DS model is perfect for demanding duties in hot climates where ultimate breathability & quick drying are critical. The uppers are made from Air 8000, making the Pilgrim DS 11 times more breathable than traditionally constructed fabric boots. This is achieved by laminating the lining fabric to the nylon face fabric using micro dot net glue which uses adhesive in a matrix pattern to ensure maximum breathability & structural integrity. Other manufacturers use a complete layer of glue to stick the lining to the outer, this effectively blocks up the fabric & greatly reduces breathability. The face fabric is a tough 3D woven nylon constructed with a raised & increased surface area which provides outstanding abrasion resistance. The combination of these technologies allows the Pilgrim DS M2 to breathe 11 times better than any of its competitors. The key to the comfort & support of the Pilgrim DS M2 is the AKU Internal Midsole System which uses an anatomically shaped 3D midsole that mimics the natural foot shape. Normally midsoles are flat & offer no support to the foot, only dictating the stiffness of the boot. With an IMS 3D midsole the foot is cradled in a relaxed position therefore reducing fatigue & minimising foot movement. Above the IMS midsole is a 3mm layer of high density EVA, this protects the user from loading forces particularly when carrying heavy packs & provides a layer of protective support for foot rather than it resting on a hard material. Below the IMS midsole is a thicker layer of 5mm (under the forefoot) & 17mm (under the heel) high density EVA which absorbs impact forces from the ground. The Womens Tribute 2 GTX builds on its predecessors success with a new injection moulded PU midsole & Exoskeleton. This clever construction technique provides cushioning & support & extends up & around the heel to provide additional support & pronation control. The Tribute 2 GTX has genuine straight out of the box comfort & wearability. They are so light & easy to wear you just want to stick them on & go for a walk.   AKU are about the only manufacturer to keep the last (the solid form that dictates the boots shape) inside the boot throughout the whole production process. By doing this the Tribute memorizes its shape through the most critical stages of production. Whilst this may be a more costly operation it ensures the integrity of shape & ultimately your comfort. This process also a more accurate sizing as the boots don’t shrink when they cool off after the moulding process. A TPU lasting board provides structural support & a natural rolling walking action. The Mantis is the largest model of Alite chairs that we stock, it has an extremely comfortable sling with an extended back for some serious lounging. Four strong contact points provide a very stable platform, even on uneven ground & lift you slightly higher for a more natural seated position.
