The Extreme is built to survive the truly wild & remote places on earth & and is shockproof & rated to IP67 which means that it is protected against dust ingress & immersion in water up to one metre. The heart of this kit is the mighty 9000m Ah battery that can be re-charged from the mains, from the solar panel or from a standard USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket. Power is delivered from the battery via a 5V USB (Universal Serial Bus) port or the 12V DC so that the Powermonkey  Extreme can charge iPads & tablets. The iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3 & iPad mini can be plugged directly into the USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket using your Apple white sync / charge cable & will recharge up to 2 times depending on the model. The iPad 4 has slightly different charging requirements & requires you to use the gorilla-pad adaptor for this model. During normal operation the LCD screen will be blue. The unique one touch friction swipe ON/OFF control is designed so you can only turn it on with a swipe from left to right, which helps to reduce the risk of it being accidently turning on when not in use. To turn the Powermonkey  Extreme on, swipe the panel from left to right with your thumb, to turn it off swipe with your thumb from right to left. Power Traveller have come up with a compact & practical solution to providing power to your outdoor tech when in remote places away from power sources. The Solarmonkey Adventurer combines a powerful solar panel with a built in 2500m Ah lithium polymer battery so you can charge your devices directly from the power of the sun during the day, & then utilise the stored power in the battery at night. With good sunlight the panel will completely charge the internal battery in about 8
- 12 hours, which is pretty damn quick! To access the power simply plug your device into the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port & the auto-load self sensing switching technology will optimise the charging parameters required; basically it knows how much power & for how long each device needs. MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) technology allows the panels to carry on charging in low light conditions, & when the sun goes down the internal battery will keep your device powered all night. The Solarmonkey Adventurer can simultaneously charge the internal battery & your device via the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port, which is easily accessed through a port in the robust travel case. This clever bit of kit has been designed for the rigours of outdoor life, the panels are water resistant, the battery is thermally insulated giving an operating range of -10ºC to 90º & your devices are protected by short circuit, overload & low voltage protection. All this clever technology is protected by a robust storage case that can be clipped to your pack to maximise daylight charging. The Solarmonkey  Adventurer is designed to work with: H&-held Cameras/ Action Cameras iPads/ Tablets PDAs iPhones/ Smart Phones Mobile Phone iPods/MP3/MP4 PSP/H&-held/ Games Consoles Sat-Navs/GPS Head Torch Number of charges: iPad/tablet
