The Powermonkey Extreme is all the charger youll ever need for all your portable tech, including more power hungry 12V items such as DVD players & re-chargeable camera batteries. The Extreme is built to survive the truly wild & remote places on earth & and is shockproof & rated to IP67 which means that it is protected against dust ingress & immersion in water up to one metre. The heart of this kit is the mighty 9000m Ah battery that can be re-charged from the mains, from the solar panel or from a standard USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket. Power is delivered from the battery via a 5V USB (Universal Serial Bus) port or the 12V DC so that the Powermonkey  Extreme can charge iPads & tablets. The iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3 & iPad mini can be plugged directly into the USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket using your Apple white sync / charge cable & will recharge up to 2 times depending on the model. The iPad 4 has slightly different charging requirements & requires you to use the gorilla-pad adaptor for this model. The gorilla-pad plugs into the 12V DC socket & is used with your Apple sync / charge cable to charge iPad 4.
