The Soto Muka Stove with 700ml Bottle. This is a non-priming, no soot build up, low maintenance liquid-fuel stove. Great for when transporting gas cannisters is out of the question. The Soto Muka runs on kerosene & unleaded petrol. The pump has an emergency shut of button & a relatively long & flexible tube compared to other liquid-fuel stoves. It also has a cool Air setting on the control dial, so when you are done cooking, flick it over to Air; this releases all the air in the fuel bottle, the flame is extinguished and the fuel line is emptied all at the same time, reducing fuel residues leaking all over your kit.  On the side of the pump there is a pressure indicator so you know when the fuel bottle is at the optimum pressure which is indicated by a red line. Once lit, the stove only takes 10 seconds for the flame to stabilise and you are ready to cook. One of the most important parts on the Muka Stove is the  Muka  Generator Unit (That little pipe the runs over the top of the burner head). This part of the stove as it atomises the fuel before it is ignited (cool fact;  Muka is Japanese for atmoiser.) This is why the  Muka stove doesnt need to be primed like other, more traditional multi-fuel stoves. Soto testing has revealed that  Muka stove performance will be reduced after continuous burning of 20 litres of fuel, so about 40 x 700ml bottles. That looks like a stupid bit of  Maths but remember, the 700ml bottle holds 480ml of fuel. If flame output seems weak then replace the generator tube. It can be a real pain getting a standard bladder out of a pack to re-fill when the hose is threaded through the hydration port & shoulder straps. The woven covering on this tube kit blocks out UV light to keep liquids cool & bacteria free. Bacteria requires UV light to exist, so if you can block it the bacteria cant thrive! The other benefit is that the water in the tube stays cooler so you dont have drink a mouthful of tepid water before you get the cooler stuff from the bladder.
