The woven covering on this tube kit blocks out UV light to keep liquids cool & bacteria free. Bacteria requires UV light to exist, so if you can block it the bacteria cant thrive! The other benefit is that the water in the tube stays cooler so you dont have drink a mouthful of tepid water before you get the cooler stuff from the bladder. The tube simply plugs into any Source Widepac bladder with the male SQC connector. However if you dont have a Source Widepac bladder you can still use this hose by cutting off the SQC connector & fitting the tube directly to your bladders outflow. The included  Source Helix valve has a 360º cylindrical valve with a soft bite that eliminates the need to get the valve in the right position for drinking, just shove it in & hydrate! To stop annoying dripping the valve features a sprung retreat mechanism which is leak proof even under pressure, & the whole thing can be locked off by simply twisting. Supplied with a Dirt Shield to protect the bite valve form dust & dirt.   Set on a angle the Helix valve is always readily placed for easy drinking.
