The Vega, as you would expect from Optimus, is a beautifully made & designed stove perfect for all year round cooking. For use in extreme cold or when rapid cooking times are required the clever canister stand on the control valve allows the fuel canister to be inverted to boost performance.   In this 4 Season mode the Vega is running on liquid gas which burns much hotter & at higher pressure. You can also use the Vega in 4 Season mode if you need to boost the stoves performance at any time, to shorten boil times, or when canister pressure is low. For excellent efficiency & precision simmering use the Vega in Efficiency Mode with the canister in an upright position.   In Efficiency mode the Vega runs on vaporized gas producing less heat & lower pressure which is perfectly suitable for warmer/normal weather conditions or for when you need to preserve fuel. The Vega provides a low cooking platform suitable for a variety of pan sizes, this low centre of gravity makes the stove very stable even with large pans on board.   When not in use the Vega folds up very small with a flat profile that can fit in the palm of your h&.
