The Vanguard Jacket from M.E. is a warm & weatherproof hooded jacket that can be thrown on to provide you with a 100% windproof barrier as well as lightweight synthetic insulation. The Windstopper Insulated Shell fabric blocks cold winds so that all the warm air trapped within the Polarloft Micro insulation keeps you warm & toasty. Great for those cold windy mountain days up in North Wales Ogwen Valley. The Windstopper outer is surprisingly water resistant, whilst not guaranteed completely waterproof it will keep out the worst of the weather making this lightweight jacket incredibly versatile & very, very breathable. The excellent breathability provided by the Vanguard makes it equally suitable for use as a mid layer in extreme conditions. Polarloft Micro itself is made up from a mix of 3D long filament fibres & micro fibres. These fibres work together regulating temperature as you move. It provides impressive moisture management which aids the removal of excess heat & moisture when you are active. When not needed, it packs down nicely so it doesnt take up too much pack space. The Vanguard Jacket has a Mountain style Helmet Compatible (HC) Hood & has been cut to M.E.s Womens Mountain Fit block. This means the jacket has a more generous fit & the new shoulder block that allows for full range of movement relieving unwanted tension in the chest, shoulders & bicep areas.
