The key to the supremely comfortable carry of the Gregory Z35 is the dynamic Cross Flo suspension system. The fully breathable harness provides full back ventilation without sacrificing load carrying capabilities. The sprung trampoline back panel automatically tensions as you add load to the pack making it extremely stable under load whilst maintaining maximum air flow. The shoulder straps & the hip belt are constructed from perforated foam to further enhance breathability & decrease weight; in fact the Z35 is substantially lighter than its predecessor. Access to the main compartment is either through a traditional top loading lid or through a large U zip front panel that means that you can access the contents like a duffel bag. The top lid itself is fully floating allowing extra storage if required & features a zipped pocket. Other pockets include a front stash pocket, waist belt pockets & side stretch water bottle pockets. The Air Tech NM crampon is such a good all round crampon. It is lightweight & can pack down by folding up on itself to take up minimum space. The 12 points give great traction on snow & ice & the last two side front points have a nice purpose; the double angulation of these points maintain biting capabilities when descending or traversing sideways giving you more stability.
