The key element of this pack is the new & exclusive Axiom+ back system. Lowe Alpine have designed the system to be easily adjusted, even when wearing the pack, extremely comfortable, supportive, breathable & with a low profile. Adjusting the back length to achieve a custom fit couldnt be simpler; with the pack on pull the black cord to unlock the system, then pull the grey cord to adjust the shoulder straps, release the black cord then release the grey cord. Axiom+ also features a rotating hip belt that moves with your body as you walk yet still offers maximum stability & support. Being able to so easily adjust the pack means that you can vary the load between shoulders & hips depending on the terrain. The moulded back panel features air channels to help with ventilation & a sprung steel frame stabilises the load & distributes the weight evenly. Access to the main compartment is via the top lid which features an internal security pocket, but you can also get to your kit via an external front zip or through the base compartment. The base compartment has a divider that can be removed to create a larger internal space. Designed primarily for sunny conditions with a UPF 50+, this versatile hat will cope with all weathers thanks to its superb performance characteristics. A Dryflo base layer fabric internal headband improves comfort by wicking away moisture & providing a softer contact area. There is an adjustable & removable strap & the sides can be poppered up for that Crocodile Dundee look, but seriously, Ive found that by fixing up the sides the hat stays on better in windy conditions. When not required this lightweight hat can be rolled up small for easy storage.
