As it is made out of a Soft Shell fabric it is super breathable, making it an ideal jacket for active winter sports such as ski-touring & mountaineering; although it would look pretty good in the pub beer garden too. The Mountain HC Hood isn’t made for extended helmet use but it does accommodate a helmet at a squeeze if you need it to, adding to this jackets ovberall versatility. The Ranpart Jacket from M.E. is a single layer that can be thrown on to provide you with a highly windproof barrier as well as lightweight synthetic insulation.  This is thanks to the Helium 50 outer fabric that stops the wind from pushing out warm air trapped within the  Polarloft  Micro insulation.
