The Womens Ascent 700 is a 3-4 season bag designed in a semi-rectangular shape that is user friendly for general camping or for those wanting a bit more room than a tapered mummy shaped bag.   The Womens Ascent 700 offers excellent value for money, quality construction & low weight for its performance.   All Rab sleeping bags with left & right zips can be zipped together to form a cozy double bag. Filled with 700g of 650 fill power 80/20 Grey Duck Down in a Semi-Rectangular shape which is optimised for the specific fill weight. The Ascent is made using Pertex Endurance fabric which has a high degree of water resistance, & although not completely waterproof, it will see off the worst of the weather.  The fabric is also very durable & will cope easily with everyday duties.  A detachable down filled hood adds extra insulation when required. Filled with 330g of 650 fill power Hydrophobic Duck Down the Ascent is very warm, yet still lightweight & excellent value for your money.  If your demands are not too technical or you just want maximum warmth for minimum pounds, then the Ascent Jacket is perfect. Rab is using Hydrophobic down in all 2013 winter down jackets, basically each & every cluster of down is treated with silicone to make them perform better in damp conditions.  Although Hydrophobic down is not waterproof it dries much faster, absorbs less water & retains loft far better than untreated down.
