This protects the front of the boot when you are scrambling over rough rock & on a via ferrata route. There is a 2 zone lacing system which clamps your heel securely in place with a lace locking hook, & there is a lovely soft memory foam insert that moulds to your ankle & provides a comfortable yet secure feel. The heel cup is quite shapely to help hold your heel where it needs to be & to reduce slippage. The inner is fully Gore-Tex lined for maximum protection & breathability, & the low profile sole comes with a suitable climbing zone for when you need to use a precise toe edge.
