The Annapurna Down Jacket from Mountain Equipment is one of their continuously bestselling jackets for those off to this planets extremely cold environments. This is because of its box wall baffle construction throughout the jacket reducing cold spots, & the harder wearing synthetic filled shoulders resist compression damage from pack straps. Its outer is made from Drylite Loft. This totally windproof & highly water resistant Nylon fabric is hard wearing & light enough to allow the Down 675 to fully loft. The hood is fully adjustable allowing you to gain a comfortable customised fit yet it is big enough to pop over a helmet, & can be removed when not in use. The hood & back of the jacket contain Mountain Equipments proprietory ELX system, which is mainly used on their sleeping bags. The ELX system is simply elasticated stitching that reduces the amount of dead space in the jacket allowing your body to do less work to stay warm.
