The Eclipse Inferno Jacket. Due to the use of Pontetorto Technostretch 260 Fleece, M.E. has manufactured this garment to have a flexible & active fit. Fleece in the main body, arms & collar to provide greater warmth where it’s needed, then a lighter-weight Technostretch Fleece is used to panel key areas such as under arm & cuffs; basically the places where you don’t want too much bulk. The off-set zip is a key feature if this lightweight midlayer/heavyweight baselayer. Not only does it stop you from catching your whiskers in the zips teeth, which is annoyingly painful, but as the zip runs at a different direction to other layers it reduces cold spots that you normally get from zips that are all lined up. The thumb loops are of a good size as sometimes thumb loops can be a bit snug, but these are lovely & comfortable. Mountain Equpiment have used Pontetorto’s new 260 weight fleece to provide exceptional warm for weight performance.
