Karri can be left completely untreated so that the wood mellows to a golden brown colour. If you wish to keep the bench brown we suggest cleaning / protecting the bench twice a year & using a bench storage cover during the winter months. The back & seat of this bench have been ergonomically shaped to make sitting for long periods of time more comfortable. Alexander Rose takes great care sourcing their Karri timbers from Ghana & is committed to only sourcing timber from well managed forests. As with all our furniture, we advise you to wash it regularly to stop the dirt getting trapped in the open grain & causing discolouration to the wood. This Alexander Rose Sunbed & Steamer Cover is made from 100% Polyester with a PVC backcoating. The PVC coating makes the cover 100% waterproof & ensures that your furniture stays dry & clean throughout the winter months. The cover is plain green & has the Alexander Rose logo printed in Gold to the outside. The cover comes with handy ties which should be used to hold the cover down in windy conditions. We strongly reccommend that the cover is not tied to the floor & we suggest that air is able to circulate around the swing seat to stop condensation occuring. It would also be a good idea to take the cover off periodically & allow the furniture to breathe. This cover may fade over time but it is still made to a very high standard.
