- safe from the elements, soft & most importantly, dry! We recommend cushions are only kept inside these boxes during the summer & removed over winter to be stored inside. Through winter condensation can build up inside all rattan storage boxes & this can cause cushions to get damp. We also recommend that where possible cushion boxes are stored out of direct sunlight & rain. The Storage Box can protect items inside in a light shower but is not fully waterproof so we recommend you store the cushions indoors to reduce the risk of wear & tear. The slow-closing hydraulic hinges of the lid gives you time to reach into the box without having the lid to contend with. This box is easily portable thanks to the carry handles on either side.
