W165 24 1939 (Ltd Ed).
The racing world had been
awaiting the new
“mini“ Silver Arrows,
Mercedes-Benz W165 with
great suspense. Its debut
was scheduled for the GP
of Tripolis, at the race
track of Mellaha, on the
7th of May in 1939.
Mercedes-Benz had managed
to develop and build this
new race car within 6
months. That was all the
time they had to adapt it
to the new rules that
allowed only 1.5 liter
engines. Hermann Lang
with starting number 16
and Rudolf Caracciola
with starting number 24,
were the pilots of choice
and they achieved a
sensational double
victory. Herman Lang
became the victor with
starting numer 16 (CMC
released that model
already in a limited
edition). Rudolf
Caracciola with starting
number 24 became second.
With the Caracciola
model, starting number
24, CMC completes its
presentation of the
victorious W165 twins of
Tripolis that achieved an
outstanding triumph for

Eddie Jordan - An

move into motor sport by
selling smoked salmon
well past its sell-by
date to rugby fans
leaving Lansdowne Road;
when stopped for speeding
by a policeman, he ended
up selling him his car.
He enjoyed racing, but
soon set up his own team
and then began to manage
other drivers' careers.
Eventually, having
helped groom a whole
series of future Grand
Prix drivers such as
Damon Hill and Martin
Brundle, he moved into
Formula One at the end of
the 1980s. He gave
Michael Schumacher his
first drive, but lost
him soon after to
Benetton in a dispute
over his contract. It
wasn't long before the
team began to pick up
podium finishes, and in
1998 won its first race -
a remarkable achievement
on a comparatively small
budget. The following
year was even better. But
sadly this was to be the
peak, as the search for
more finance and legal
battles with sponsors hit
hard. Eventually, in
January 2005 he sold the
team. This book takes you
behind the scenes to
reveal the true
personalities of the
drivers Jordan worked
with, and his battles
with Bernie Ecclestone.

to you? That is the name
by which the Testa Rossa
with the chassis number
0732 first came to be
known in its good old
days. The owner Ed Hugus
was an American, who
decided to have the car
painted in American
racing white with double
blue stripes. Admittedly,
that appearance was
unusual for a Ferrari.
But take a look for
yourself: Isn’t it
strikingly beautiful?
This is why we build a
high-end miniature
replica after it,
limited to 5, 000 pieces
worldwide. One of
Lucybelle’s racing
highlights was a 7th rank
at the famous 24 Hours of
Le Mans in 1958, where
it had the starting
number 22. The drivers Ed
Hugus and Ernie Erickson
won their spot by
competing triumphantly
against a large number of
tough competitors. Our
model represents the
current status of the
car. Version 2) Chassis
No. 0714 went into the
manufacturing of the
second Testa Rossa,
which was earmarked for
Mr. Piere Drogo, a
gentleman from Venezuela.
In early December 1957,
the new car was delivered
to him in Modena, Italy.
He intended to pilot it
in as many races as
possible. One of the
modifications he made was
to install an additional
air inlet underneath the
doors so as to improve
the cooling of the rear
wheel drum brakes. His
first race took place in
Buenos Aires, Argentina
in January 1958. Since
then, more than half a
century has passed. In
the course of time,
Testa Rossa (meaning
“Red Head” in
English) became a most
successful and best-known
Ferrari model of all
time. Perfectly restored
and painted in deep black
with a flamboyant
red/white border on its
nose, the car with the
starting No. DM124 was
offered at “Leggenda e
Passione, ” an auction
that took place in
Maranello, Italy in May
2009. The bidding went as
high as 9.02 million
Euros, and the car
changed hands. Is there

variants, 2, 3 &4
limited edition of 6000
pieces. The 1961 Formula
1 season came up with a
completely new rule type.
The racing teams had to
switch their engines from
2.5 to 1.5 liters.
Ferrari found itself in a
very good position. They
had developed a V6
mid-mounted engine with a
120 degrees cylinder
angle and a maximum
output of 190 hp. The new
156 F1 had a very unusual
front design. So pretty
soon, many people gave
it the nickname
Sharknose. Technically
and ostensibly, the
156F1 was the most
successful development in
1961. The season ended
for the Scuderia with a
large success but also
with a disastrous
tragedy. Phil Hill became
the first American
Formula 1 World Champion.
The German Ferrari star
Wolfgang Graf Berghe von
Trips, that led the
ranking for most of the
season, became involved
in a deadly accident in
Monza. Never before joy
and teariness was that
close on just one day.
Our three different
models represent all
different successful GP
appearances of the 156 F1
