`I always imagined we have concentric circles of compassion & it starts with Blood
- that oh so wonderful affection which near relations are supposed to conceive for one another. Concentric circles, ripples of empathy, moving out from the centre. There`s me in the middle with my self-interest. Then there`s your family. Then your friends & lovers maybe, then colleagues & acquaintances, then strangers & passersby, out & out & out & out & out until the circle of people you`ve never met or will never meet. People who were in a different time & space to you. & people move between our circles, in he ripples, out & in, slow & fluid. But you now, you`re in another category all together. If the dead still exist in our hearts, what if our hearts are wrong?` Harriet Walter is one of our most admired & acclaimed actors, & holds an Olivier & Evening Standard award for her work, including the Donmar Warehouse production of Mary Stuart.
