The Good Food Guide 2011 is published by the consumer specialists Which? & independently reviews over 1, 300 dining experiences across the UK. This edition is the 60th anniversary edition &, as such,
Includes:: a section that highlights the top 60 restaurants of 2011. All entries are based on reader feedback & anonymous inspections, & the annual guide has been compiled & written from scratch since 1951. Each restaurant featured is marked out of ten &, as the publishers are at pains to point out, even a score of one is a notable achievement because just making the cut for inclusion in the volume is an assurance of good food. Reader & editor award winners are revealed, as are the longest-serving establishments included in the guide. The guide, indexed by town & restaurant, is organised into counties or regions (London being arranged into six areas), & each section has an overview map which shows the locations of featured establishments. Reviewed restaurants are introduced with cuisine type, scores & symbols as well as the average price for a three course meal, excluding drinks. Pages also include special local reader recommends, as well as features, articles & interviews.
