The Cranberry was originally called the Craneberry, as the appearance of the flowers resembles the neck & head of a crane. The cranberry was also found in the UK in the 17th century, & was known as the Fenberry after the boggy areas these bushes like to grow in. High in Fibre & with a high proportion of complex sugars for a fruit, these tasty little red berries are a great nibble. They also have good levels of the essential dietary mineral manganese, as well as a range plant nutrients including polyphenols & flavonoids. These cranberries are soaked in apple juice before being air dried. This means Clearly Scrumptious cranberries are moist, vibrant & fruity just like nature intended. These cranberries also have no additives or preservatives. They are great on their own as a snack & they also work really well when added to cereal or in a recipe.
