The retractable ZIP cord offers a multitude of attachment options, from on your head, wrist, bike handlebars, tent pole, trekking pole, dog...well pretty much anything really. ...

This brilliant device works on all dynamic single ropes from 8.9 – 11mm, but is optimised for 9.4 – 10.3mm ropes.  The unique design feature of the Grigri is its assisted braking, giving confidence to beginners & experienced climbers alike.  The Grigri 2 has a new design that improves control on descents, eliminating rope jam & sudden release to allow a very gradual release of the rope especially when abseiling or lowering a partner.  The Grigri 2 is 25% smaller & 20% lighter than the original.    Belay technique identical to classic belay systems: both hands on the rope. A fall is stopped by tightening the hand on the free end of the rope Assisted braking: during fall arrest, the belayer holds the free end of the rope, the cam pivots & pinches the rope, increasing the braking action until the rope stops sliding The GRIGRI 2 has a new design that allows excellent control during the descent. One hand holds the rope & the other uses the handle to unlock the cam. The patented handle design allows a very gradual release of the rope. In combination with the strong braking action of the cam, it gives a great feeling of security when lowering a partner or rappelling The GRIGRI 2 is compact & ultra-light at 185 g (25 % smaller & 20 % lighter than the GRIGRI) Built with a stainless steel friction plate & cam to ensure a long life for the product For 8.9 to 11 mm single ropes (optimised for 9.4 mm to 10.3 mm ropes) Diagrams for rope installation engraved on belay device (interior & exterior) ...

An incredibly lightweight & versatile belay device that suits just about any rope & climbing situation.   The V-shaped friction channels give smooth & effective braking from thin to thick ropes & the asymmetrically grooved sidewalls increase braking power during a fall or when abseiling yet still allow smooth rope slide during belaying. With the Reverso in normal mode you can belay the leader, one or two seconding climbers & also abseil.   In Reverso mode (or remote belay) you bring up one or two second climbers in comfort & safety on multi pitch routes then simply switch to normal mode on the changeover to belay the leader. The smaller karabiner hole allows for easy for & smooth release of rope when heavily loaded in Reverso mode. The Reverso is very kind to your rope, it will not kink or twist even when using two different diameter ropes & it separates the strands nicely when belaying & abseiling. Ultra-light design:
- minimalist construction
- hot-forged aluminum
- Weight: 59 g A single device for all rope types:
- effective braking on half & twin ropes ≥ 7.5 mm
- effective braking on single ropes ≥ 8.9 mm
- can belay the leader, one or two seconding climbers & can be used for rappelling
- independent & simultaneous belaying of one or two seconding climbers in Reverso mode
- quick changeovers from Reverso mode to belaying the leader when climbing multi-pitch routes V-shaped friction channels:
- increased friction on thin ropes
- friction is adapted for larger diameter ropes
- increases the locking pressure on the ropes in Reverso mode Asymmetrically grooved sidewalls:
- increased braking power during a leader or top rope fall or while rappelling
- rope slides smoothly through device when taking up slack Carabiner hole allows the loaded device in Reverso mode to be easily & gradually released with only a carabiner Rope friendly, allows for smooth belaying & rope handling:
- will not kink the ropes regardless of the mode used
- separates the two strands of rope when belaying & rappelling Intuitive use:
- Reverso mode aluminum attachment point is easy to identify
- keeper cable keeps the device from moving up the rope when belaying & reduces chances of losing the device

Petzl Myo RXP

Petzl Myo RXP Grey.  A truly versatile headtorch for all activities and events that can be programmed to optimise power output and lighting modes. There are three lighting modes on offer, each with lumen outputs between 13 and 141.  You can programme which mode comes on first and how much light it chucks out.  You can even programme the strobe mode to be slow,  fast or SOS.  There is also a boost switch which bumps up the lumen output to 205 for those instances when you need all the light you can get.  On the front of the lens is a flip up diffuser which changes the light pattern from a flood to a spot.  With all this light output you will need to know how your batteries are coping, so the Myo RXP has a battery level indicator which warns when the batteries are 70% and
then 90% depleted.  The 3 AA batteries sit on the back of the head and you can use lithium batteries to optimize performance in the cold.  An extra over the head elastic strap is included for when you need extra stability. Fully programmable lighting modes - min power, max power and strobe Three lighting modes each with ten power settings 3 x AA batteries Compatable with alkaline, lithium, re-chargeable Ni-MH and re-chargeable Ni-Cd batteries. IPX 4 watertight Wide angle or spot focus beam patterns Reliable and durable construction
