The new Endurance Down Mitt is basically a lightweight Expedition Mitt for when you dont really need full on furnace warmth, but just want to make sure your hands stay warm & protected in freezing conditions. They are good for light work in the polar regions & at altitude but excel in UK & Alpine winter mountaineering situations. As the name suggests, they have a Pertex Endurance outer fabric which is a coated lightweight, tough ripstop nylon offering protection from snow & light rain without adding bulk. Despite the high water resistance of the face fabric these mitts are not totally waterproof. Insulation is provided by Rabs high quality 750FP Eurpoean goose down that meets the European Down & feather Association Codex. This code of conduct determines that the source of the down is a byproduct of a slaughterhouse or harvested during moulting periods & not illegally live-plucked. These functional mitts have abrasion resistant panels on the palm, thumb & finger tips so they will stand up to regular use with poles & ice tools. A wide, drawcord opening allows easy access & there are wrist loops to avoid losing them when performing intricate tasks in just your liner gloves. 50g of 750FP European goose down Pertex Endurance outer fabric Protected abrasion areas in palm & mitt tip Wide opening Internal elasticated wrist Wrist leash with simple loop lock
