You can even strip down the hip belt to a minimal webbing belt & remove the padding altogether for use when wearing a harness or if you dont want a waist belt at all. The shoulder straps have extra padding on the main load bearing points & less where it s not required. A well padded back panel is designed to enhance comfort when carrying heavier loads & features a ventilation channel & internal wire frame to save weight & provide essential support & load distribution. There is even a removable foam sheet that can be used a bivvy mat or sit mat. For versatile loading options the top lid can be extended & has a webbing strap to accommodate ropes, crampons or just some extra kit.
