This superbly versatile & effective layering fleece uses the brilliant Polartec Power Stretch fabric that insulates & manages moisture superbly. The superbly comfortable Powerstretch polyester faced fabric is lightweight, warm, & the fastest drying of all the fleeces. The Sawtooth is the latest model to use this versatile softshell fabric & the tough nylon Matrix DWS (Double Weave Stretch) fabric offers superb breathable,  durability and weather protection for all mountain activities. Double weave fabric features larger fibres on the inside & finer fibres on the outside that create capillary action to draw moisture away from your body & the dense weave repels all but the worst weather. The Sawtooth Hoodie can be worn as a lightweight outer over a good base layer for more active winter pursuits or just as a lightweight everyday jacket. Thanks to its great breathability it performs equally well as a light mid layer under a shell when the weather turns really nasty. The built in stretch makes it very comfortable to wear & offers completely unrestricted movement for activities such as climbing, mountaineering, trekking or Nordic walking. This supremely lightweight, fully waterproof & breathable mountain jacket is made using stretchy Pertex Shield+ fabric. Pertex are a world leader in fabric technology & have worked closely with Rab to develop this high performance fabric with a hydrostatic head of 16, 000 mm, which basically means its VERY waterproof. Pertex Shield also provides high levels of breathability with a MVTR of 20, 000 (Gore-Tex Pro for example has a MVTR of around 28, 000). The Spark is designed to be a minimalist jacket that will take up minimum space in your pack but deliver reliable performance when the conditions turn nasty. Rab have given you two nicely sized napoleon chest pockets that are mesh backed so they can double up as vents to increase airflow when you need it. The helmet compatible hood makes this a great piece to keep in your bag & throw on when climbing or scrambling. If you are worried about water seeping through the zips then dont be; all zips are YKK Aqua Guard water resistant zips which are the best water resistant zips on the market. There is an adjustable hem & 2 internal snap close loops that you can hook on to your belt loops to stop the jacket from riding up.
