The traditional Teak hardwood is ideal for manufacturing garden benches as it combines strength with a high proportion of natural oils. Teak is used to create the smoothest of finishes with durability lasting in excess of 25 years. When left untreated, teak mellows to an attractive silver grey colour. As with all our benches, we advise you to wash it regularly to stop the dirt getting trapped in the open grain & causing discolouration to the wood. The Alexander Rose Southsea Folding Carver Chair has been manufactured from Grade A teak which is a material that features a beautiful light golden brown finish. The Southsea Folding chair has a high back rest which has been ergonomically shaped to ensure extra comfort whilst being seated. Thde chair also has distinctive thick arm rests either side of the chair to ensure comfort. The chair can also be folded from the middle. This makes the chairs easier to stores in the winter period. To maintain teaks original finish we would recommend using our range of golden care products which are specialized to offer resistance against all types of weather conditions. The chair already comes pre treated with a teak protector which will last up to 4
- 6 months. Then you should apply a coat of teak cleaner followed on by the teak protector, this process should be repeated every 4
- 6 months. We like this set of garden furniture because it has been constructed from grade A teak which features a beautiful golden brown finish. However to maintain this finish we would recommend using our range of golden care products which can be located within the related products. The set of garden furniture has already been pre treated with a teak protector which will last up to 4
- 6 months. Once this time period is over we would recommend applying a coat of teak cleaner, then follow with the teak protector. To ensure that Teak maintains its original finish the wood has to be covered by a breathable cover. Or if the table is covered with a breathable cover then it can be left outside all year round. These cushions are in fact water resistant & the outer cases can be machined washed. However we would recommend washing the cushions at a low temperature.
