Trekking routes to the Chulu peaks from the northern part of the Annapurna Circuit presented on a contoured and GP compatible map at 1:50, 000 from Nepa Maps with a vivid presentation of the region’s mountainous terrain. The Annapurna Circuit is clearly highlighted on the map, which covers it from Thoche east of Chame, past Manang, to Ledar (Letdar) and Thorung Phedi in the north-west corner. The map shows the routes to the two eastern Chulu summits from Julu, and to the central and the western summit to from Ledar. Also marked are the routes to the Pisang Peak (Jong Ri) and to the Kangaru Himal from their respective base camps. Coverage extends to Phu in the north-eastern corner, so the map also includes the treks from Chame to Phu and the spur via Naar and Kanga La. Contour lines
are at 40m intervals. The index includes peaks, passes, base camps, etc. PLEASE NOTE: an identical map is also published by Nepa Maps as Pisang Peak – CL806. The two publications differ only in the information provided on the inside cover: stage by stage length and timings for the Chulu routes or for the Pisang Peak trek.Cartography of the Nepa trekking series is based on the country’s topographic survey, with contours usually at 40m or 50m intervals, enhanced by relief shading, colouring and graphics to show various features of the terrain, including glaciers, forested or cultivated areas, etc. Numerous peaks, with additional spot heights, plus names of glaciers and mountain ranges are prominently shown. with many smaller rivers and lakes named. An overprint highlights main trekking routes and numerous local trails, with symbols indicating various places of interest and tourist facilities.
