Extracted by steam distillation from crude camphor (the crystalline resin of mature trees) there are several species of Camphor – the Ho Sho variety is used to produce Ho Wood essential oil. This Absolute Aromas Ho Wood oil is 95% Linalol a gentle & safe natural constituent. It has a sweet & relaxing aroma which blends well with Cedarwood Bergamot Lavender & Geranium. Absolute Aromas does not stock Rosewood for ethical reasons (it is a Brazilian rainforest tree & therefore an endangered species) because of its high Linalol content Ho Wood can be considered as an alternative.
