The Belay Master is
ideally suited to groups
and centres as it
provides security and a
visual check for leaders
that the biner is being
operated correctly. The
special clip can only be
locked into place when
the gate barrel has been
tightened into the locked
position. This acts as a
double check that the
biner is closed correctly
and securely, and the
plastic clip itself
prevents the biner from
being cross-loaded in
action. The special clip
also keeps the Belay
Master in the correct
position on the harness
so that belay devices
work correctly.

The Aero is a high

solid gate carabiner with

strength for extra
safety. It features a
shrouded keylock nose to
reduce snagging when
clipping and a rope
groove to help direct any
loads against the spine.
This bent gate version is
designed for the rope end
of a quickdraw. The
carabiner is a good size
for all-round use and has
a nice wide gate opening,
so that even clipping
thick webbing is easy.
The gate itself contains
a deep bend that rolls
into the nose to make
clipping very easy - even
when you are pumped
stupid miles above the
last gear; at the same
time the gate/nose
intersection has been
carefully designed so
that the chances of the
rope unclipping itself
are minimised. DMM also
use a relatively strong
spring pressure both to
reduce the chances of
gate flutter happening
and also to reduce the
