This premium quality & superbly designed expedition jacket is packed with 850 fill power premium goose & duck down that has been made highly water repellant by  Down Tek  Nanotechnology. This cationic treatment creates surface tension on the down cluster. When molecules of moisture encounter  Down-Tek, the moisture is forced to collect into a sphere & roll off the down cluster rather than adhering to & soaking into it. This treatment adds no discernable weight, is environmentally friendly & dramatically improves the wet performance of down.  Down-Tek absorbs 30% less water, dries 60% faster & retains significantly more loft when exposed to moisture. All this magic down is cocooned in a 30 Denier windproof, rip-stop nylon main body outer with DWR finish resulting in a highly weather resistant jacket. Box wall construction is used on the main body to maximise loft & insulation, whilst the arms have a stitch through construction to minimise weight.  Jottnar have applied their fastidious detailing to this jacket & used Neutron 120 synthetic filling on the cuffs, hem & collar, these are areas most likely to wet out. The fully insulated & adjustable helmet compatible hood has a stiffened & wired peak & a nice high collar with soft  Rentex  (synthetic micro-suede) beard guard to protect your face. A 2 way YKK front zip is used to allow harness access & it has a large synthetic filled internal baffle to reduce cold spots.  Rentex is also used to line the inner cuffs which are elasticated with Velcro adjustment. There are two zipped hand pockets with protective front facing insulation & one zipped internal pocket capable of swallowing a 1 litre bottle.
